[ Endo is very careful not to stare as Accelerator touches his choker again, lest he appear too interested, but he feels a small burst of glee at the fact that his suspicions seem to be true. There's no reason for Accelerator to mess with his choker unless it's on his mind, and if it's on his mind, there's got to be a reason. And that, in turn, gives Endo more motivation to keep this conversation going — to see if Accelerator hits a limit or experiences some kind of backlash from keeping his power contained. He still itches to touch the choker himself, but he busies himself with the crutch: retracting the cane and examining the cuff.

Noting the tone, he says: ]

It's a hassle but someone's gotta do it. It helps the guys blow off some steam, too.

[ The best lies have truths buried within them, and this is one of them. Noroshi — and the other gangs under Endo's umbrella — need the chance to stretch their legs and move their fists, even when things are relatively quiet. They'd get antsy otherwise, and antsy gang members cause trouble.

Likely, Accelerator will know the truth by the time their meeting ends. At some point, Endo will have to make a move, whether prompting him into a fight or trying to get his hands on that collar — but who knows? Maybe they'll end this amicably and Endo will keep his number handy for some future fun. Ultimately, though, if the guy were to do any digging on him, he'd easily uncover Endo's status as a legend and the fact that he's never cleaned up for the greater good.

He watches Accelerator toss the rocks into the air, imagining the force with which he could throw them down below — how easily he could stop a person in their tracks. ]

What do you do with all your power?

[ Fight for justice? Put down brawls? He used the word massacre before, and Endo has to wonder if that involves real casualties, not exaggeration. It's clear he came here to interrupt the fighting, so it's safe to catalogue him as a wannabe hero at the bare minimum — but Endo thinks there's more to it.

He adds, as though it makes his point: ]

You gotta do something with it.
