[ With a click of his tongue, Endo picks the battery back up, this time enclosing it in his palm. ]
You're hopeless like this, aren't you?
[ By now he's confirmed that Accelerator processes little while in this state. Rather than producing high-level thoughts, he seems to be working off of a singular rote desire, like a zombie. He's oriented to the battery because he knows it's important, but that's as far as his motivation seems to go. The rest of him might as well not be there at all — a step or two short from being truly mindless. Endo hypothesizes that he won't be able to store memories like this — it doesn't appear as though he has the brain function — but he still won't try anything crazy, just in case. There's pushing and then there's becoming a threat all over again, the latter of which Endo wouldn't be opposed to in the future, but not here and now. He has other plans. ]
Lemme help.
[ He holds the battery right in front of Accelerator's face, just in case there's some innate trigger that'll activate once he touches his choker. After holding it there for a moment, his next step is pretending to feel around the choker for battery slot. Really, he's searching for whatever else he can find as runs his fingers along it, trying to determine if there's an easy latch for complete removal, if it's attached to Accelerator's skin, or if there are switches or buttons in hidden places, as with his crutch.
Regardless of what he finds, though, he chooses to file the information away for another time. When he's done, he simply pushes the battery back into its proper place and shuts it inside. ]
There.
[ He says it with a note of false triumph, but while he utters the word, he pulls away as quickly as he can without jostling his broken bones — just in case Accelerator comes back to consciousness with a desire to smack anyone who happens to be close. ]
